I do not believe that true friendships should have pain
I do not ever wish in a friend to be the cause of pain
Just like the walls of a family should shield you away from pain
True friendship should be the umbrella that covers you when it rains

They say love is blind
But love has its eyes wide open
There's more to love than just being kind
More to give and more unspoken

Qualities
Endurance
The value of the treasure you hold at heart as a friend

I'm not one to quit on what I believe
For what I have I did not deserve to receive
But I hold you at heart if I call you 'my' friend
Its not just a title but an inscription til my life's end

Only wish you could see you the way I do
Only wish you knew the way I love you
But we are on a journey that takes time to build
But I pray that may life the best fruit in us yield

Unknown to you is my value of you
But in all I hope I'll always have a friend in you
