Why I write

Like a painter passionately painting upon a canvas

The brushes big and small moved by the faithful hand

The results of the picture judged by onlookers as marvellous

The harsh and gentle strokes now come to an end

So it is with my mind's dictations as I say

I transcribe the ongoing proceedings with a focused mindset

Yet not always so focused as the mind is swayed

But what is brought ashore is what is caught in the net

As a photographer with a camera in focus

The goal to capture every moment of the event

So I zoom in and out, snap a shot and stay in focus

To bring the full image til my mind is content

Outpoured emotions

Unwanted divisions

Set up commissions

Bringing clarity to visions

These are the pieces of the puzzle I play with

The pipes and the tubes my mind breathes with

In the moment when my mind is clustered with thoughts

Ventilation scarce so I weave in the thread of thoughts

My blanket has rough patches but still a soft lining

The words brought forth like a stage play of miming

Each writing is like a story but not always in full clarity

But still to the reader it remains the work of Charity

Only a vessel still, so here's the main reason in words

The One above me is the greatest Poet who wrote my life's lines

I'm a dictation that came from His lips and written in His Words

So my gift is on my life transcribed, with that He also gave me signs

Why I write?

Its not a simple one to answer

But I write

To reveal and uncover

To comfort but not to blander

To cherish and to love

To simply tell a story

And to express what's within me

Thus the reason why I write
